East Rancho Dominguez Neighborhood Association (ERDNA) History

East East Rancho Dominguez neighborhood association (ERDNA) was organized in 2006 with the help of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Community Relations Unit in an effort to assist with the needs of this growing community. The ERDNA formerly known as The Community Block Watch Organization, consisted of residents from various block watch groups within the community. These groups met regularly at the Community Service Center to discuss various community matters and concerns. Meetings where co-chaired by community residents Sinetta Farley and Mr. Haynes served until 1999 when both residents relocated. Although not a formerly organized group, the remaining members continued to work on various community needs.

In May of 2003 Sinetta T. Farley returned to the community and was approached by residents to formally organize the community block watch group. Sinetta Farley accepted the challenge and held the group's first meeting in September 2006 in the Community Center located on 4513 East Compton Blvd. It was during this time that the Association’s underwent a name change and officers were elected to serve in the Association’s and also on the Board of Directors. This new Association not only included residents, but merchants and other community organization representatives which served as the eyes, ears and hands that worked together to build a beautiful community.
